Former German international Torsten Frings is the new coach of SV Meppen. As the third-division club announced on Tuesday, the 43-year-old signed a two-year contract plus an option for extension. Frings succeeds Christian Neidhart at the Emsland club, who has left SVM after seven years in charge.
“The Third Division is a professional league that absolutely thrills. What has been built up here in recent years is simply great. I’m really looking forward to this challenge and will put my heart and soul into helping SV Meppen develop further,” as he said in the interview: “Let’s get going!”.
